My friend Crystal has called us women of God to join together in prayer. For our families, loved ones, community, etc. To read her post, click here.
God has called us to do even MORE powerful things on earth than what Jesus did when He was here... that thought is incredible.
Let's get started!!

:: YES ::
My heart is bursting. With new life, new hope, new joy. This past weekend I attended a women's conference at my church, called Absolute Adoration. The guest speaker was Tammy Trent, and WOW what a woman she is. But even more than that, WOW does God ever use that woman for His glory!!
God spoke this weekend, directly to my heart. He exposed my pain - I thought I had dealt with it but it was there - and He showed me what He has for my life. A life full of JOY and BLESSING and LOVE. Not of sorrow and pain. I wept, I grieved, I left my burdens at the cross. I am choosing to live in joyful expectation of all that He is and all that He has for me.
Is my pain gone? Are all my questions answered? Are all my tears shed? Not at all! Some things we just won't know or understand this side of Heaven. But is God the same yesterday and today and tomorow, does His love remain unchanged, does He continue to cherish and adore me? YES!! And He has an incredible plan for my life. Not void of pain or hardship, but still full of abundant joy and blessing and purpose. So what will I chose? Will I live up to my end of the relationship, to follow Him... or to live in the past where nothing can change?
Today I say YES to my God. Yes, I will follow You. Yes, I chose You. Yes, I chose joy. Yes, I chose to live for today and tomorrow. Yes, I chose Your promises.

:: Full Heart ::
There seems to be so much going on, not only in my life, but in the lives of others around me. Some great, wonderful things which I praise God for and am so thankful. But there are other things, which are painful to endure and the road to healing seems so long, and too rough. My heart is so full lately, I just feel that I could be constantly praying. Which is exactly what God calls us to do in His word!
There are times when my thoughts are clear, my praise easy and my requests communicated well. And then there are times when all I can do is whisper the name of Jesus.
One of the many things I love about my heavenly Father is that He desires for us to share exactly what’s on our hearts with Him. Nothing held back! How wonderful and freeing that is. I would encourage you to try it – whether you have a deep, personal relationship with God, or have never called on His name before. He is there, He is listening and He loves you more than you could ever imagine. And He wants to hear it all – your praise, thanksgiving, requests, hurt, anger, pain, desires, love, adoration – everything.
A well known scripture but one that never ceases to touch my heart...
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:4-7

:: Makena's Dedication ::
On Sunday, September 21, Josh and I had the honour of being a part of Makena's Dedication to the Lord. A Christian dedication is basically a time when the parents commit to raising their child in the Lord's way, to teach him/her about Jesus and to love that child the way God calls them to. It's about recognizing that their baby is a gift that God has entrusted them with, and that they are "giving" the baby back to God, relying on Him while they raise him/her.
What an amazing and special time this was! Makena is the result of MANY prayers and God is just so wonderfully faithful. He waited a little longer to send this angel to A&J but she is more than worth the wait! Her name, Makena, means "Abundant" and her middle name is Joy. Abundant Joy!! And she is definitely living up to her name :) This little one is full of smiles and laughter and just simply brings joy to all around her. Makena has many wonderful people in her life who love her so much, it was powerful to see over 40 people on stage praying for her and her Mommy and Daddy. No dry eyes there! A&J, thank you for honouring Josh and I by inviting us along, and know that we are here for you through your journey of parenting this beautiful baby girl! God has blessed you just so much and you are wonderful parents, doing a marvelous job raising your Makena Joy!!
